On June 29th, 2024 George Plumb, Anneliese Treadwell, Ryan Welch and Elizabeth Bill will take part in the prestigious Lewa Safari Marathon attempting to conquer 26.2 miles of dirt roads across the Savannah plains at nearly 6,000 feet above sea level.

My story

I am taking part in the Lewa Safari Marathon on 29th June 2024 to help raise vital funds for Tusk to support a wide range of conservation projects across Kenya. This is the 25th anniversary year so participating is extra special.

I have chosen to support Tusk because:

Over 40 endangered species benefit from Tusk's projects
Tusk has secured over 50 million hectares of landscape for wildlife
79 projects are currently supported with Tusk generated funds
Tusk has invested over £11.1m in direct conservation activity
And more than 10million + people benefit from Tusk's work

Marathon got cancelled so run my own marathon. A 110m strip of path which I run up and down 383 times to make up the marathon distance. Anyone know a number for a good counsellor? Let’s be honest time was never the goal here. You try running up and down a path 383 times.
